Canvas Mobile App Tech Tip

I love the Canvas App. I already had it downloaded, and it has saved my butt plenty of times. I love how you can view your calendar with due dates easily on it. One thing that has helped me the most is that you can take your quizzes from the app directly. I didn"t have any trouble downloading it for my Iphone.

Radha and Krishna's story

“Did he really just walk into class?”, said Radha.

It was 1:42 p.m. and Biology class was well into cellular division. Krishna, the school’s “bad boy,” had just walked in twelve minutes late. This put an upsetting look on Radha’s face. Radha was the most punctual person at Rosewood High. She never ditched class, nor received anything below a 95% in a class. She hated people who were late, and knowing exactly who Krishna was, she was shocked. Today was the day partners were to be assigned for the end of the year project. Radha was skeptical of who would be her partner since this was the project for which the teacher would assign partners.
Half of the class was assigned and it was Krishna’s turn. The teacher looked around the room. He knew Krishna would never do his work unless someone made him do it. Instantly the teacher knew who to pick. With a huge grin on his face, the teacher said Radha’s name. Radha’s face turned into a frown. She hated Krishna and definitely didn’t want to be his partner. Immediately after class Radha went straight to Krishna and told him what he needed to do for the project. Krishna secretly had a crush on Radha, and to Radha’s surprise, he said okay. Radha expecting Krishna to object had secretly worked on some of Krishna’s part of the project. Every day Radha and Krishna would meet in the library and work on their project. Krishna showed great interest in the project, and would quietly get all his work set for the day accomplished. Radha grew fond of Krishna and didn’t mind being his partner. Her opinion of him changed, and she slowly began waving and smiling at Krishna in the hallways. Tomorrow was the day of their presentation and all Radha and Krishna had left to do was to practice their presentation.
That night Krishna was hanging out with his friends and they were snooping around the high school. One of his friends decided to jump the fence and hit the lock on the door with a hammer. All of a sudden all the alarms went off and the police were on their way. Krishna’s friend already had a record, so he asked Krishna to take the fall. Krishna knew that if he took the fall for the break in, he would go to juvie and not make it his presentation tomorrow. He had a tough decision to make.
The next Radha waited patiently in her desk five minutes before class. She watched the clock intensely as the second hand moved. The were was 30 seconds left till the bell was to ring. The bell rang, and Krishna was nowhere to be seen. Radha was confused. Krishna had told her that he would be there, and he even put in more than a hundred percent of effort into the project.
Radha had a feeling that something had to have happened for Krishna not to show up. She was mad at Krishna but secretly was worried for him. She knew that if he didn’t make it, he would fail the class. She decided to do the project on her own. The next day Krishna explained everything to her, and Radha was glad that he wanted to be there for her, but couldn’t make it.

Authors Note:

For this story I chose to keep to the major ideas, while changing how they all happened. In this story the beginning is different from the original tale, but it ends similar. I decided to focus on the part where Krishna was in the forest and when he played the flute all the ladies were charmed by him. Though in this story he was the bad boy, all the girls secretly wanted him. However, this is not explicitly stated in the story. In the tale there were multiple ladies (Gopis) that were interested in him. He would play the flute in the forest and in a way serenade the woman. I switched the part where Radha was originally in love with him to hating him. She then falls in love with him, just like the original story. Krishna then gets in trouble and Radha saves him. In the original tale Krishna does not necessarily get into trouble, but does need the aid of a woman. This is to resemble how Radha decided to pour water down her feet and give it to Krishna to make him better again. Krishna in the end is not the bad guy Radha put him out to be. At the end of the story Krishna gets a chance to explain himself which allows Radha to forgive him and put a happy ending to the story. In the actual tale it is evident that Krishna really loved Radha, however in the end they were not able to be together.

Reading Notes week 9 Krishna

The story of Krishna’s birth and childhood had many twists in within itself. I found many ironic events occur. How the king was scared to be killed by by a baby, and just as when the eight child was a girl, he laughed because it was a girl. I was curious though as to how he knew where to send the demons when they were on the hunt to kill Krishna, or since they were demons they knew where to find him. Yashoda I feel was both a good and bad mother. I feel that for all the troubles Krishna caused growing up, he should have received greater force in punishment. There were so many characters I am unsure who I should focus on. Krishna seemed to be to be a bad boy who everyone hated at first. I feel like I could easily write a story of a troubled boy who committed small crimes of theft from shops to represent him. Then he could save someone’s life, which can cause people to feel safer with him there. This can be the people constantly running to Krishna for protection. I also am interested in making Krishna  a child in high school. Where he is the bad boy all the girls want. He can pull pranks on all the teachers which can represent his childhood, and that can cause him to become placed in detention. He can secretly have his eyes on the girl in school that was the perfect child. She always followed the rules and never forgot to do her homework. One day Krishna can play a prank that causes Radha to get into trouble with him, that way they both get detention. With this Krishna can charm Radha, and Radha secretly can fall in love with Krishna. I’m still unaware what prank.
