Tale of Four Mates
This is a story of Rama and Sita running into Shurpanakha and her brother Ravana. I decided to completely change the plot of the story, with keeping to a few key details. I hope you enjoy the plot twists!
Sita's Story
This story is one of my favorite stories. I decided to take advice from the story idea generator and become a "realtor". The part of the story where Ravana is cursed, and cannot touch a woman unless she is into, and his decision take the ground she is standing on with him becomes the castle Rama has built for Sita. Therefore, the castle becomes the focus of my story.
Lily's Story
This story is about a Lily, a girl who needs a heart transplant. It is based on the original story of Manu and Vishnu disguised as a fish. Not everything turns out as one can expect. Some twists and turns may cause an interesting ending.
Radha and Krishna's Story
Based on most classic stories written about Radha and Krishna, one would think that this story is another love story. However, this story does not start off like that. Radha actually dislikes Krishna but her opinion changes of him after certain events take place.

Week 11 Lily's Story
I woke up today feeling great. Today was going to be my first day of rounds at the Saint Anthony’s Hospital. Getting to be part of surgeries and having my own patients was exhilarating. I wasn’t fully ready to be a doctor on my own, so I had doctors to mentor me along the way. There was one in particular that was my favorite. His name was Doctor Reed. This man was the kindest, most caring, and greatest teacher I have ever had. He made sure my colleagues and I were sharp in knowledge and performance.
Coming up we had a very important heart transplant surgery. Everyone wanted in on it. The attendees were sucking up to the doctors and going the extra mile to stand out. I myself was taking 48-hour shifts just so I could be noticed. I had never seen a heart transplant, especially for a child under the age of 18.
This young girl was diagnosed with arrhythmias (abnormal heart rhythm). Her name was Lily, and I had been on her case ever since she was transferred to our hospital. Lily was so tiny, and her smile was contagious. She would be the first on my list for rounds, and just because of that my day would start off great. Days were going by and her time was running out.
When I went into her room to do a regular check up she called me close to her. In my head, I thought she was going to tell me a joke. This girl loved to make everyone laugh. She always told me, "I don't want to end a conversation with anyone until I have made them laugh at least once.” Lily wanted everyone to have a bright day, every day.
As I leaned in I could feel the fear from her trembling hands as they grabbed hold onto mine. Lily then whispered to me. I tried to contain my tears as she slowly said, “Doctor Rendon, am I going to have to say goodbye to everyone from the bed of this hospital?”
I instantly stared into her eyes and said, “Lily, I promise you will see the sunlight, smell the flowers, and get to play in the water before your time comes.”
I quickly finished my check-up routine and paged Doctor Reed to meet me. I told him what the girl had told me, and tried to get him to move her to the top of the transplant list. He told me there wasn’t much that he could do since Lily wasn’t in critical condition. I began to pray any second I had for this little girl.
A week went by and her condition was getting worse. She was now the third on the list. I didn’t know what to do. I even ran every test I could think of twice to try and see if there was anything in her check-ups that could bump her up.
I woke up one day to a page stating that her heart was here. I was ecstatic and drove as fast as I could to get to the hospital. I stepped into her room and saw an empty bed. I then ran to the board where all the surgeries and their assigned rooms were listed. I assumed I was late and they had already started. When I came to the board, her name wasn’t on there. I asked the closest nurse to me where Lily was. She grabbed my hand and told me Lily had passed away about fifteen minutes ago.

Author’s Notes:
I was really interested in writing a spinoff on the story of Manu and the little fish. In this story, a human comes across a little fish, who is actually Vishnu in disguise, and asks him to save him from being eaten by the big fish. Manu, the human, feels empathy for him and takes him from the water and transfers him to a little pot. As the fish grows Manu kept transferring him to a bigger and bigger container. Manu disturbs the law of the jungle by saving the fish from being eaten. This action of his changes the fish's destiny and therefore disturbs nature. In this story the little girl, Lily, is the fish. Doctor Rendon is Manu, and Doctor Reed's reasoning of how he could not do anything to make Lily go up on the transplant list was the representation of “The Law of the Jungle.” In this story, however, Doctor Redon (Manu) tries to help Lily (the fish) but could not do so in the end. This made the acts of nature to flow without any disruptions. I feel that in reality there are a lot more sad endings than happy one with tragic stories such this one. I also decided to add a video that provides music to help set the mood of the story.

Sita's Story
Sita's Castle
Have you heard of the story behind this acre of land that cost billions of dollars? It was once the ground that the goddess Sita sat upon. She was the most beautiful princess around and was highly pursued by many. One day, the almighty Rama came across Sita. He knew it was love at first sight and was on the quest to make Sita his wife. Sita did not hesitate to accept his proposal. Rama bought Sita a whole castle; the castle was actually built right on this plot of land.
This is where Sita spent every morning getting ready and most of her free time. She loved her castle. Rama knew if Sita was nowhere to be found she would be in her castle. Often, Rama would come up to the castle and sit outside just watching Sita do her daily activities. He found Sita to be the most beautiful woman he had ever laid eyes on. Seeing that the land is empty currently, it is clear that the castle had been removed. The reason for the demolition of the castle was due to a man named Ravana. Ravana was actually an admirer of Sita. He heard about her from his sister and instantly fell in love with just the thoughts and imagination of her. He wanted Sita to be his wife but was unsure on how to do so. There was a curse placed on Ravana, and he was not allowed to touch any woman unless they were desired by him.
He was determined to make Sita his wife, whether she wanted to be his or not. One morning when Sita was in her castle getting ready for the day to begin, Ravana showed up. He told her he was there to make her his new bride. She tried to explain to him that she was married and had no interest in him. Ravana kept trying to convince her to leave Rama. He told her he would give her all that Rama had to offer and more. He would cherish her forever and she could keep her castle that she loved so dearly. She cried out for her husband, but he had been away buying Sita a new pair of earrings. Ravana couldn’t get Sita to come with him, so he decided to take the whole castle with Sita inside along with him. He flew the castle and Sita to his homeland and told her she was trapped.

When Rama returned to find the land the castle was on to be torn apart, he was confused. He made the castle purposely on land that was forever protected by his brother Lakshmana. He was to always keep his eyes on the castle especially if Rama was away. He immediately went to Lakshmana and asked him what happened to the castle. He said that Sita had requested that he go find Rama, and was to tell him to hurry home. Rama scolded Lakshmana and blamed Sita’s disappearance on him. Lakshmana felt terrible and promised that he would never let anything happen again to the land because he would always keep an eye on it, and would aid Rama in finding Sita for however long it took.
Months passed by, then years, and Sita was nowhere to be found. Everyone accepted that she must have been kidnapped and killed. Since then this land has been protected and has never been prone to any type of natural destruction. Although the times of Rama and Sita are way past the time of today, it has been said that anyone who decides to buy this land and build a home on it will receive protection for eternity.
Author's Note: From The Ramayana, Rama had never built a castle for Sita. However, he did leave her for a portion of the day to be protected in the hands of Lakshmana while he went to go hunt a deer. That was when Sita thought her husband was in trouble so she sent Lakshmana to go help Rama. This is when Ravana took her. Since Ravana was in love with Sita and was not allowed to touch her unless she wanted to be his, he took her away on the ground she stood on. I decided to keep to the plot pretty much up to this point. I twisted the next part of the story and made "the ground" into the castle. Sita, however, eventually did return to Rama but he had a hard time accepting her back. However, in this story, Sita is never found and the land, therefore, is forever under Lakshmana's protection. I decided to use this picture because it portrays Ravana in a bad light. From my understanding of the story, he was a figure that was a demon. This picture helps imagine how scared Sita was yet also shows Ravana not laying his hand on her, though he really desired her.

Radha and Krishna's story
“Did he really just walk into class?”, said Radha.
It was 1:42 p.m. and Biology class was well into cellular division. Krishna, the school’s “bad boy,” had just walked in twelve minutes late. This put an upsetting look on Radha’s face. Radha was the most punctual person at Rosewood High. She never ditched class, nor received anything below a 95% in a class. She hated people who were late, and knowing exactly who Krishna was, she was shocked. Today was the day partners were to be assigned for the end of the year project. Radha was skeptical of who would be her partner since this was the project for which the teacher would assign partners.
Half of the class was assigned and it was Krishna’s turn. The teacher looked around the room. He knew Krishna would never do his work unless someone made him do it. Instantly the teacher knew who to pick. With a huge grin on his face, the teacher said Radha’s name. Radha’s face turned into a frown. She hated Krishna and definitely didn’t want to be his partner. Immediately after class Radha went straight to Krishna and told him what he needed to do for the project. Krishna secretly had a crush on Radha, and to Radha’s surprise, he said okay. Radha expecting Krishna to object had secretly worked on some of Krishna’s part of the project. Every day Radha and Krishna would meet in the library and work on their project. Krishna showed great interest in the project, and would quietly get all his work set for the day accomplished. Radha grew fond of Krishna and didn’t mind being his partner. Her opinion of him changed, and she slowly began waving and smiling at Krishna in the hallways. Tomorrow was the day of their presentation and all Radha and Krishna had left to do was to practice their presentation.
That night Krishna was hanging out with his friends and they were snooping around the high school. One of his friends decided to jump the fence and hit the lock on the door with a hammer. All of a sudden all the alarms went off and the police were on their way. Krishna’s friend already had a record, so he asked Krishna to take the fall. Krishna knew that if he took the fall for the break in, he would go to juvie and not make it his presentation tomorrow. He had a tough decision to make.
The next Radha waited patiently in her desk five minutes before class. She watched the clock intensely as the second hand moved. The were was 30 seconds left till the bell was to ring. The bell rang, and Krishna was nowhere to be seen. Radha was confused. Krishna had told her that he would be there, and he even put in more than a hundred percent of effort into the project.
Radha had a feeling that something had to have happened for Krishna not to show up. She was mad at Krishna but secretly was worried for him. She knew that if he didn’t make it, he would fail the class. She decided to do the project on her own. The next day Krishna explained everything to her, and Radha was glad that he wanted to be there for her, but couldn’t make it.
Authors Note:
For this story I chose to keep to the major ideas, while changing how they all happened. In this story the beginning is different from the original tale, but it ends similar. I decided to focus on the part where Krishna was in the forest and when he played the flute all the ladies were charmed by him. Though in this story he was the bad boy, all the girls secretly wanted him. However, this is not explicitly stated in the story. In the tale there were multiple ladies (Gopis) that were interested in him. He would play the flute in the forest and in a way serenade the woman. I switched the part where Radha was originally in love with him to hating him. She then falls in love with him, just like the original story. Krishna then gets in trouble and Radha saves him. In the original tale Krishna does not necessarily get into trouble, but does need the aid of a woman. This is to resemble how Radha decided to pour water down her feet and give it to Krishna to make him better again. Krishna in the end is not the bad guy Radha put him out to be. At the end of the story Krishna gets a chance to explain himself which allows Radha to forgive him and put a happy ending to the story. In the actual tale it is evident that Krishna really loved Radha, however in the end they were not able to be together.

Story: Tale of Four Mates
Story: Tale of Four Mates
Ravana and Rama grew up together in a small town near the beach. They both were in their mid-20s and were in search of their soulmates. Rama was a super shy guy who loved to read, while Ravana was an adventurous guy who could strike up a conversation with anyone. One day, when taking a jog in the neighborhood, Rama saw a pretty lady gardening. He contemplated if he should go up to her and say hi, or keep jogging. As he got closer and closer to the lady, he became more and more nervous. It was now or never; he was right next to her house. As he passed her, he knew instantly he should have stopped and talked to her.
The next day he went for another jog. The lady was outside once again, and this time, Rama knew he had to say something. He jogged straight to her and introduced himself. Having just one conversation was enough for Rama. He told Ravana all about Sita, the lady he had met. Ravana was excited that Rama found a girl he was fully into. Ravana met Sita and thought she was the perfect person for Rama. Ravana found her pretty, a bit nerdy, and loved her personality. After a few days and months, Rama and Sita decided to get married.

Ravana was, of course, Rama’s best man. Now that Rama had found his partner for life, Ravana felt slightly sad. He was still single and wanted to find someone to share his life with. A few years went by and Rama, Sita, and Ravana became even closer.
The three of them decided to take a trip together to the Bahamas. On the trip, Ravana met a woman named Shurpanakha. He found her to be beautiful and could really see himself marrying her. He loved that Shurpanakha was a bold person who did not let anyone push her around. She was very strong mentally and physically. He had always thought he would find a woman who was just like her.
As their relationship progressed, it seemed as if Shurpanakha would prefer to invite Rama and Sita along with her and Ravana, rather than spend time with Ravana alone. Shurpanakha would even at times ask Rama if he would want to go get dinner with her when Ravana was busy. Ravana didn’t think much of it, since Rama was his best friend, and was married. Sita started to become jealous and told Rama that she believed Shurpanakha was in love with him. Rama kept telling Sita that Shurpanakha loved Ravana and that he would never think of anyone else to be as wonderful as her. Sita finally agreed that their marriage was strong, and nothing would ever happen to it.
One day, when Sita was at work, Shurpanakha showed up to Rama’s and Sita’s house. Rama opened the door and let her in. She told him that Ravana had told her to go to their house and he was coming in an hour. Rama didn’t think Shurpanakha was lying since she and Ravana would come over all the time. As time passed by, Rama asked Shurpanakha if he should call Ravana and see if he was on his way. Shurpanakha told him there was no need because Ravana texted her saying he would be there in 30 minutes.
Rama offered Shurpanakha some wine. As he was handing her the drink, she hit the glass and spilled it all over Rama’s shirt. She quickly apologized and got a towel. Rama tried to take the towel from her to wipe off the wine, but Shurpanakha wanted to wipe the wine of herself. Rama began to feel a bit awkward. He told her it was okay, and that he would just change his shirt. She kept insisting that she could clean it off for him. As Shurpanakha was wiping Rama’s shirt, she leaned closer and closer to his face. Once she was close enough she kissed Rama. Rama immediately stood up. He was in shock and questioned Shurpanakha. She began to strip and tell Rama that she never loved Ravana and believed she only met him to find her way to Rama. Rama asked Shurpanakha to leave that very moment and told her he was married to Sita. As Shurpanakha was gathering her clothes, Sita walked into the house.
She was in utter shock at what she saw. She started to cry, yell at Shurpanakha, and ask Rama how he could do this to her. Rama tried to explain himself, but Shrupanakha overpowered his voice. She told Sita that this wasn’t the first time she and Rama were together. Sita stormed out of the house and vowed to Rama he would never see her again. Rama went after her, but Sita was too far gone. He tried and tried to get Sita to return to him, but in the end, she never came back. Ravana broke it off with Shurpanakha, and both friends were once again left to be single.

Author's Notes:
This is a story is based off when Rama was exiled, and Sita went away with him. Along their journey, they went to a forest and met a lady named Kamavali ( Shurpanakha). She instantly tries to marry Rama and remove Sita from the picture. She points out that she is not like her brother Ravana who still lives the demon lifestyle. As Sita is saved by Lakshmana ruining Kamavali's plan, Rama remains with Sita. I decided to change the ending of the story. Instead of Ravana being Rama's enemy, he actually is his good friend. I changed Ravana to be a human throughout this story and not a form of a rakshasa. I also decided to make Shurpanakha a brand-new character that is not related to Ravana although she is in the original tale. She still in a way uses Ravana to get to Rama. She even told her brother that she did not care what he did with Sita, as long as he got her far away from Rama. Even though in the original text this was not said directly, I thought Shurpanakha used her own brother to get what she wanted. Though Sita catches on that Shurpanakha really wants Rama, Rama gives Shurpanakha the benefit of the doubt and believes she isn't after him. In the end of the original story, Rama and Sita stay together and do not let Shurpanakha come in between them, but clearly this is not what happened in this story.
