Week 14 Famous Last Words

This is my final and last post. I honestly started off my blog regretting taking this class. I didn’t think I was creative enough to make my blog interesting enough. I have learned that one can improve a lot however with practice. I am glad now I did take the class cause not only was it easy but I enjoyed it as well. It was almost a stress reliever from all my other classes. My reading for this week went by well. I liked how in the end I picked to read the children’s novels because they had very good morals to learn from. I forgot to write a story this week however from the notes. There were a lot of great stories I read this week. My favorite was the tale about the big white whale and the turtle.

It was super cute and had a happy ending. They had a lot more dialogue than I usually write with and I enjoyed this writing style. I tried to add more dialogue to my writing but it was a rocky start. Next time I will definitely try and add more though however because it makes the characters have more personality. Now that dead week and finals are hitting I am stressing more and more. This class has made everything easier however by giving the students the opportunity to finish the class early. I have recently booked a ticket to India right after my finals. So I am just trying to get by the next to weeks as fast as I can. I am not to good at testing so we shall see how I do in my quant and o chem two class. Since we wont be writing for this class anymore I most likely wont be using the blog anymore. However, I will not delete my blog cause I do want look back at it and reread some of my old stories.

This week was pretty ruff. I feel like I have been working and doing school work 24/7. Looking at this meme actually made me laugh cause I used to do it. Now I write out my notes.

Tech Tip: Reverse Image Search

I have heard of Google image search but I have never used it before. This was really cool to use and I'm glad that it worked and I will definetly use it from now on.

Tale of Four Mates
This is a story of Rama and Sita running into Shurpanakha and her brother Ravana. I decided to completely change the plot of the story, with keeping to a few key details. I hope you enjoy the plot twists!

Sita's Story
This story is one of my favorite stories. I decided to take advice from the story idea generator and become a "realtor". The part of the story where Ravana is cursed, and cannot touch a woman unless she is into, and his decision take the ground she is standing on with him becomes the castle Rama has built for Sita. Therefore, the castle becomes the focus of my story.

Lily's Story
This story is about a Lily, a girl who needs a heart transplant. It is based on the original story of Manu and Vishnu disguised as a fish. Not everything turns out as one can expect. Some twists and turns may cause an interesting ending.

Radha and Krishna's Story
Based on most classic stories written about Radha and Krishna, one would think that this story is another love story. However, this story does not start off like that. Radha actually dislikes Krishna but her opinion changes of him after certain events take place.

Week 14 Reading Notes B

I really enjoyed reading the story of the two merchants. The one that was greedy clearly got what he deserved. This reminds me of those who try to bargain so much they eventually loose what they were trying to buy.

My favorite was the story of the sandy road. This one basically reminds me of not giving up and that even if plans don’t go as planned you can come back from it. Im not sure how I want to write it out, but I want to write a story of a little boy learning how to ride a bike.

Week 14 Reading Notes

·             The way Rama is exiled, his wife wants to come but he says its not her fault, and she doesn’t have to come. I could incorporate how she doesn’t feel as just though its her duty, but she doesn’t want to leave her loved one.
·             You can see how much Darsaratha loved his son, and how much he wanted to make him king. This family bond when broken kills the father.
·             I can portray the mother as the evil step mother from Cinderella.
·             Relating to Cinderella, the mother wants to make her daughter the chosen one just like Bharatha’s mother. He could be the step child that eventually sees what his mother is planning and though decided to do the right thing in the end, it is too late. Bharatha is trying to do good, and all his actions he assumed were for the right reasons. Just Ciderella’s step sisters. Then when he actually goes back to rule in Rama’s place at request maybe the land goes in turmoil under his ruling and he realizes that he should have given Rama his rightful leadership ahead of time.
·             Shurpanakha is an interesting characters. She claims to be not a demonist, yet her actions show otherwise. Not sure how to play her into a Cinderella story, but she could be the “hotter, prettier” woman that almost ruins true love; maybe even she does… Though in the story Rama defeats the demons and stays with Sita, there could be a twist.
·             Since Ravana ends up wanting Sita, although originally she doesn’t want him, she could fall in love with him. There could be a double twist, where two love stories of a couple and a brother/sister occurs.

·             For Sita not to hurt her husband by not being in love with him, she could have been in on the plan with Ravana. With Rama thinking that he was doing what his wife wanted him to do for her, could all just be a trick in disguise. Once Rama goes for the deer, Sita could escape with Ravana, without hurting Rama’s feelings.
